Michele "Mickey" Edna Smith

Michele “Mickey” Edna Smith, age 60 of West Olive, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Sanctuary at the Shore. She was born January 11, 1955 to Fredrick and Marian (Cook) Filber in Tecumseh, MI. Mickey was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and worked at the school for 28 years. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking and helping others. Mickey’s greatest love was spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Liz (Dave) Stuart of West Olive; sons, Matt (Leigh) McDougall-Smith of Laingsburg, MI, Bob (Chris) Smith of Roscommon, MI; grandchildren, Tristan, Emma, Asher, Hannah, Colm, Cailee, Molly and Miles; brothers, Rick (Cathy) Filber of New Baltimore, MI, Bill (Jackie) Filber of Spring Lake. The memorial mass for Mickey will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father David Gross officiating.
