Fayne Bennett

Fayne Bennett, age 82 of Spring Lake, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Sanctuary at McAualy in Muskegon. Fayne was born March 16, 1933 to Donald and Bernice (Mower) Bennett in Six Lakes, MI. He married Edna Bennett on June 4, 1955 in Ludington, MI. She preceded him in death in 2006. Fayne was a member of The Salvation Army. He retired from Bastian Blessing Company where he worked as a sheet metal worker for over 30 years. Fayne enjoyed hunting, woodworking, constructing homes and remodeling projects.   Fayne is survived by his children, Jill Bennett and Arne Enright of Ketchikan, AK, Sue Davis of Saginaw, MI, Michael (Kathy) Bennett of Muskegon, Jeffrey (Nancy) Bennett of Fruitport; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Loretta Kaiser, Leotta Banks both of Spring Lake; brother-in-law, Bob (Nancy) Platt of Holton; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna; daughter, Jody Bennett;  sisters, Eilleen Dallas, Evelyn Musson, Beverly Fransis, Lilla Cain; brothers, Donald Bennett and Gordon Bennett; son-in-law, Jeff Davis. The funeral service for Fayne will be 11:00 Friday, September 4, 2015 at The Salvation Army Church 1221 Shonat St.  Muskegon, MI with Captain Dan Sawka officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army.
