I'm sorry it has taken this long to write to you of my feeling and pleasure of dealing with Klaassen Family Funeral Home. As the time passes it becomes easier for me to address certain issues without the emotional interruption... Its very difficult to write this even now...
February 2nd was a very sad day for me and our family. I lost my wife, my friend, Faye Menard. She was a very important person in all of our lives... We would have been married for 30 years this June. We had been friends for over 50 years... Many friends and family are very sad to see Faye leave this world...
When Faye's mother passed away several years ago, we used Klaassen Family Funeral Home for her service. they were there to help us through this difficult time... This is why we chose Klaassen Family Funeral Home again for Faye's service.
When we found out that Faye was given six months to live in October, I/we started to plan for this loss early. I was able to gather pictures and other memorabilia for her final days. When it was a few weeks before her passing, I visited your facility. I was greeted by Jeri (Ashcraft), she started to make our plans for the what will happen. Scott (Klaassen) joined us later in the meeting. Everything was explained to me as to what would take place and how we would go about it. A list of materials was given to me and thus the road map for the inevitable day that was coming. One thing stuck in my mind, Scott told me no matter what time of day or night I will be there after Faye passes. As the days went by, I would stop in and check to see if I needed to do anything.
The day arrived on February 2nd 2022; Faye passed away just after 11:15 PM... The home called Scott and told him what had happened and within the hour of being called, he was there with an associate to move Faye to the Funeral Home. It was nice to see a friendly face during these times...
Lorie and I met with Scott on the days following Faye's passing. This is what's going to happen... We were able to get picture boards, songs that Faye liked and many pictures and mementos for the service. The Funeral Home was busy at this time with other families in the same situation we were experiencing... BUT all the time, we never felt that we were not their main concern. There were many discussions as to what we wanted for Faye's service; every detail was worked out. Scott also worked with my family early one Sunday, between other families, just for a 4-hour showing, family only. That was very appreciated by all.
Scott and Jeri would call or see me and ask if it was OK to do this or do you want something different. I do believe everything we suggested was approved.
In summation, the way we were treated by the Klaassen family during this very emotional loss of Faye is why we came to this facility in the past. We will also be using them in the future. When some of the darkest days are surrounding you and your family, it's very gratifying to know that they are there to help. Is there anything you need, or can I something for you, call anytime! What a wonderful experience under very trying times...
Hi everyone. Thank you to every one of you for making this time of loss as easy as possible. You all shared your hearts, compassion and personal losses and experiences with me to give me hope to know what to expect in the days ahead of me and my families.
It was a pleasure to meet all of the Klaassen boys. Your quite the club :)
Thank you for your professionalism balanced with passion.
On behalf the Moore Family, I want to thank everyone at Klaassen Family Funeral Home for their incredible service and compassion. The staff makes you feel like family the minute you enter their facility. Scott, Jeri and Jaime took the time to work with me on every detail and simplified the entire process. The experience and expertise they have is priceless. Thank you too for the fight song after the service!
Thank you for all of your assistance with our mom's service. Thank you also for planting a tree in her memory and for the pretty flower. All appreciated,
Thank you very much for the flowers and guidance through this trying time. You all made it more of a celebration than a time of mourning.
Thank you again,
Klaassen Funeral Home,
We really appreciate how you helped guide us in making decisions during our difficult time. Your staff was very patient and caring and everything went smoothly. We also appreciated you putting together the picture video.
Dear David and Staff,
You and your staff did a wonderful job with so many details that everyone took care of for Don's funeral and burial.
I will never forget the love and compassion you all gave to me.
I received the VA burial allowance check from the US Treasury and thank you for that effort also (Jaime)!!
Sincerely and God Bless -
A huge thank you to the entire Klaassen Family for the care and support you provided for my family and the loss of my dad Richard Miller. You all went out of your way to make us extremely comfortable and provided amazing service during his Celebration of Life. Thank you does not seem like enough.
Kris Piotrowicz and family
Jane King VanderHeide was beautiful, talented and kind to everyone. I went to high school with Jane where she was homecoming queen and voted "Most likely to succeed". i and my sister, Maribeth, were bridesmaids at her wedding to John. I have beautiful memories that I treasure.
To all the helpful and compassionate people at Klaassen's,
Our family would like to thank you all for everything you did to make Michael's funeral and visitation a respectful and beautiful final tribute to our husband, brother, father, and friend. Your entire team is knowledgeable and professional. We are truly grateful for your services.
On behalf of our family, we want to thank you for your kind and thoughtful service.
Your team knew my Dad, Birt, My “pinch-hit” Dad Greg, and my Mom Helen. Your Family took such good care of my family. That’s what family’s are for… taking care of each other in times of love and in times of loss. Thank you.
Klaassen Family Funeral Home Family,
Thank you. Thank you for your patience with all my endless-often repeated-questions. Thank you for dealing with all the details, large and small that I didn't have a clue about. Thank you for the bud vase daises and roses were the only two flowers that Dennis didn't call a "weed". Thank you for helping me make the service for Dennis a total reflection of the person he was.
Thank you - just... Thank you
Thank you, Scott, for going that extra mile to help dad’s wish to be fulfilled. I (we) will forever be grateful.
God Bless you…
A big thank you to each one of you for going the extra mile to make Ray's obituary, tri-fold, video and his service so special. So many comments and compliments on each one.
We all appreciate what you did to make a true tribute to Ray, they described him so well.
Linda Mieras & Family
Dear Scott and the Klaassen Family,
We want you to know how pleased we were with the attention you gave to the service for Duane Grossett, our cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Making the right choices when you are so emotionally invested is not easy. Scott made everyone feel comfortable and explained all the options. We are so glad we made the decision to invite family and friends to visit and attend the service in the warm atmosphere of the Klaassen home - and apprciated your gracious attention to serving the luncheon afterward. Thank you to the entire staff.
Mary Grossett on behalf of the entire Grossett Family
Scott, Dave, Jaime & Team,
Our whole family is so thankful for the care of my father's funeral and all the support of our family in the process. A special thank you for the flowers too.
With Love, The Waanders Family
Dear Dave & Team,
Thank you for all your help and kindness. We appreciate you.
Love, The Prignitz Family
Dear Dave, Sandy, Scott, Kurt and complete staff,
Thank you seems too little to say to you all. There is no one else that I would feel comfortable taking care of my beloved dad than all of you. Dave, you made a huge impact on us by getting mom and I in before dad passed. It made the transition so much easier. Your family has been so gracious to us. I appreciate your setting up all the portraits and collages. Perfection! The way you had the flowers placed, spot on. Also, thank you for allowing George Jr. and myself to speak. God Bless all of you! You definitely made a heartbreaking time, so much easier. Thank you.
My love and friendship, Judy Kruggel - Mosterd
Dear Kurt and Klaasen Staff,
The family of Gloria Koshork would like to thank you for your compassionate guidance and service to our mom, and to us. You were wonderful in caring for our dad eight years ago and so it was natural that my mom would want you to care for her.
In such an unsettling and sad time, you made choices easy and took the time to make us comfortable in every aspect of the planning and follow-through with burial at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. The guest book was a wonderful source of addresses of not only the attendees but who sent what flowers, plants and had trees planted in Mom's memory.
We are thoroughly pleased with your caring service. Thank you so very much.
Barbara Newell, David Koshork and Lori Koshork (children)
Thank you Dave for all your great services!
You and your team were outstanding! Everyone was very pleased with your arrangements and the venue.
Dear Kurt & Staff,
You guys are awesome! you handled Dale's funeral perfectly, professionally, and caring. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Also, thank you for the beautiful vase of flowers & for dropping off all the flowers to my house after the service. You are good people!
Dear Klaassen Family & Staff,
W cannot thank you enough for the beautiful service for our mom. Your expertise, guidance and love was immeasurable. Our family is forever grateful!
Thank you for your kindness and support. I truly appreciate everything that you helped us with during our difficult loss of Mark.
I found Klaassen Funeral Home, a family run establishment, very professional and sincere. They all were very empathetic, friendly, understanding with our needs, and reached out to us several times even after services were completed. Thank you for being so caring during our time of loss and grieving.
Though it would have been nice to meet Kamden and his team under different circumstances, I am forever grateful to have met them. They are hospitable, thoughtful, and compassionate. I would highly recommend their services and support to those seeking the highest quality care for their loved one- and family- during a sorrowful time.
Klaassen Funeral Home has handled the funerals of both of my parents, Bill and Elaine Beach. My father passed away 10 years ago and I STILL remember how wonderful the Klaassen staff was. My mother recently passed away and we trusted Klaassen's again. My brothers and I, and our families, all live out of town. This could have been difficult to orchestrate in a timely manner, yet Klaassen's accommodated our schedules and tended to our needs. The staff at Klaassen's took care of all the arrangements and details, including Jaime editing the obituary exactly how we wanted it. The funeral folders were very nice and we had a "Remember Me" page for our mother that Jaime copied for us to send to friends and family. Mom wanted a small family service and she wanted her ashes poured in with dads ashes. This happened at the Methodist Church of the Dunes Remembrance Garden. Klaassen's helped us follow our mother's wishes, which is so comforting. Thank you to Scott, David and Jaime for helping our family at this difficult time. You knew what needed to be done and what to say to comfort us. The entire staff at Klaassen Funeral Home is professional, yet it is their sincere caring that we felt most. We were impressed that Elizabeth reached out to us a couple weeks after our loss to see how we were doing and if there was anything else Klaassen could do. Thank you Klaassen Staff for your compassionate care of our family.
With Grateful Hearts,
Cindy (Beach) Hill, Curt Beach, Craig Beach and our families
Thank you for all the help at this sad time. I'm so glad you were here for me. We will talk again about the Service in the spring.
We can not express enough how much we appreciate your kindness during Mark's passing. You helped us plan a beautiful Celebration of Life after many changes and fine-tuned everything. You were above and beyond. You have such a compassionate heart.
We appreciate you coming out to the gravesite and giving last rights. Thank you for getting a picture of Scott as he picked up Mark's urn and gave him his last ride in the corvette.
With Sincere Thanks!
Dear Dave and Staff,
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your loving, attentive care of our mom, Beverly Walhout. From the moment we began planning until the moment we left her gravesite, we were thoughtfully in your hands and you made certain mom was attended to with love and dignity. We appreciate it, and she would have approved.
We can't thank you enough.
The Walhout Family
Thank you so much for your detailed care of Linda/Mom. We truly appreciate your guidance and support in this difficult time. It takes special people to make this experience bearable, and you passed all of our expectations.
You are simply a gift from God Scott Klaassen! God made you and formed you to do exactly what you are doing!
I have never seen anyone step up at every moment to care so well for a grieving family! The Boumans were surrounded by your every grace, strength, and ability to comfort!
Thank you for being 100% available, accessible, and competent to take care of everything from Oregon to here! You are my hero!
Thank you for your incredible work. The week was a blur but it is obvious the good works you all do.
Our family is very appreciative.
Thank you so much for all you have done to help me during this time. It has been a long 5 and a half months...thank you for all your support!
Thank you for taking the time to go to the cemetery with me to pick out a plot and then ordering the marker. Thank you also for your support. I've always had a lot of respect for you and so did Ron.
Thank you all so much!
-The Family of Ronald Davis
I put my faith in the Klaassen Family Funeral Home to handle every detail from start to finish. Scott called, stopped over, and handled everything expediently so their were no delays. The visitation and service went very smoothly. We had a slight glitch and Scott offered to step in and handle the graveside service. He knew just how Roger would have wanted it with faith, love and humor thrown in at the end. Thank you Scott and Dave.
Dear Dave, Scott, Kurt, Kamden, and Jaime,
Thank you so much for handling our mom, Henrietta Laning's funeral...from start to finish! Incredible-all that you did! We had no worries.
Thank you for all your help in taking care of dad's remains.
Also, thank you for the flowers. Everything went as smoothly as possible.
We would like to thank you for your genuine kindness and compassion following mom's passing and in the execution of her viewing and funeral. It has been so important to all of us that we share a faith in God and in eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.
We are thankful for you and your faith, as well as your professionalism and kindness. We simply could not have asked for more. The arrangements were flawless and we were able to spend time together as a family cherishing our memories.
Thank you for everything you've done from the preplanning through the Memorial Service in executing the wishes our mom had for the celebration of her faith and life. Every step of the process was done with such compassion, dignity, and respect.
A special thank you, Dave, for the extra attention, guidance, and kindness shown, making sure every detail was taken care of.
Ruth A. Marotti
My family and I would like to thank everyone at Klaassen’s for the respect and dignity you showed our Father and Grandfather Clarence VerBerkmoes. In these trying times you were there for our family.
It was such a comfort knowing my Mom was being taken care of at Klaassen's. Especially in this time when families can not be together to hug and comfort one another.
Kurt, Jaime, and All,
Thank you for the great job with Don's service and arrangements. Everything turned out so well and was appreciated by everyone.
Empathetic and professional. Highly recommend this company; they made a very difficult time an easier transition. No need to look elsewhere.
Thank you so much for your care and kindness in the loss of Jim. We are so appreciated all you have done for us.
Klassen Funeral Home I would highly recommend to anyone! They were so helpful caring and went beyond what we would ever of expected. I cannot express enough about the kindness they had for myself, my kids and the family and friends of my husband. Thank you again to all the Klaassen Funeral home family, you truly made us feel comforted at this hard time. Thank you again! Jane Leslie and family
We had great service from our first meeting, the same day Dad died, all the way through our graveside service, several days later. The staff was very considerate, professional, and patient with all the members of our family, and we had seven siblings working together to prepare for the service where we would celebrate Dad’s life!!
The room where we had Dad’s visitation was very nice, and the staff helped us set up an area where family could have food and drinks during the visitation. The service went very well, as did the luncheon at a nearby church where we served our guests, with the Klaassen staff monitoring everything. I highly recommend Klaassen Family Funeral Home
Thank you so much for all you did for us. Your kindness and care is so awesome. Thank you for the flowers, that was really sweet.
Thanks again for all you do.
Dear Klaassen Family,
Thank you for the lovely flowers and the beautiful direction, guidance, and service you provided our family over the past several weeks and years in preparation of Barbara's funeral. Your care and expertise was exceptional. You allowed us to focus on the message and meaning of the day as you covered countless details.
Please accept our most sincere gratitude! May you be blessed as a family and business as you continue in your most meaningful work.
Mr. Klaassen, Family and Everyone at the Funeral Home,
We cannot begin to thank you all for everything you have done with the passing of my mom. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for making a difficult situation easier.
The Klaassen Team and Family,
Thank you for your kind words, thoughts, prayers, beautiful flowers and support.

Dear Klaassen Family,
On behalf of the Diana Wipperfurth family, we would like to thank you for navigating us through such a difficult time. Your expertise, grace and kindness are so greatly appreciated! Mother looked beautiful and she would have been very proud!
Now she is resting in peace with dad.
Thank you again and may all of you enjoy this Blessed Christmas season and New Year!
Thank you so much for your kind, professional and sympathetic treatment during this most difficult time. Mum was an amazing woman who had great taste - she would have been most proud of the visitation and arrangements you facilitated.
Thank you for all of your help.
Every time I go past the Klaassen Funeral Home I think of how well we were treated and taken care of at our time of grief and how they took care of our needs as Tom was a vet. It has been 3 1/2 years but it was such a good experience to have someone who knew how to relate to people the way they did.
Thank you for taking care of my mother. The kindness and respect shown was very comforting. May she now rest in peace, finally.
I would like to thank you for taking care of my dad, Garry Mesler, with the dignity and respect that he so deserved. We was my hero! When I look back on the day we celebrated him it will be a little bit brighter because of you.
Thank you for handling everything so nicely for Mom! You all do such a great job! Mom and Dad are together now and I know they would be proud of their daughters :)
Just wanted to thank you for going the extra mile for my brother "Bud" Ickes. Thanks again.
Dear Dave and all,
Thank you for your flowers of sympathy and your personal care for us as we planned and carried out Aunt Betty's wishes for her funeral. It was a privilege to celebrate her long and productive life. She is now safe in the arms of her Saviour. What a comfort we have!
Dear Dave and Staff,
Thank you for the special attention you gave to Dolores in 2007 when planning her funeral, and to her family in executing her wishes, taking care of her body upon death, and meticulously taking care of and arranging every detail of her service. Your services with the Salvation Army combined made the celebration of Dolores' life perfect!
We appreciate all of your staff who were involved before, during and after Dolores' passing.
A special thanks to you, Dave, for your personal involvement and time. Another special thanks to Kamden, your apprentice/funeral assistant for the way he helped the family at Seville when she passed and his compassionate manner and time at the service.
A huge thank you to my Klaassen family. I can't thank you enough for everything you've done for my family and I. Your an amazing group of amazing people!
We are so appreciative for the Klaassen Family Funeral Home team, notably for Scott Klaassen. Scott compassionately supported and helped us with preneed funeral plans and the unexpected back to back funerals for our parents, Blanche and Raymond McLean. Scott meticulously took care of every detail during those difficult 14 days. Thank you Scott.
The daughters of Blanche and Ray.
From the moment our Mom was taken into their care our family was treated with compassion, respect and kindness. We pushed for a quick visitation and Klaassen's was able to execute, giving full attention to details. Our Mom looked absolutely beautiful and for the first time in years, at peace. We are grateful to the entire team at Klaassen Family Funeral Home for their love and support in the days prior to our mom's passing and the days following.
The children of Nancy Smith
We appreciate so much the willing kindness to put all our funeral needs in order, and then to transport our sister to the little Clearwater Lake Cemetery in northern Wisconsin---------so personally attended to. Thank you to Jaime at the front desk, and to Scott who arranged the funeral concerns and then made the trip forth and back--hundreds of miles--a call beyond expectation. Thank you from the Denler Family.
The Klaassen Family Funeral Home involvement during a difficult time was the best decision we ever could have made. They knew how to support us, plan and carry out all the details of our mother's final journey that we couldn't possibly have known about or done ourselves. Thank you, thank you...THANK YOU!
In such a difficult time the Klaassen family made things easier to go through. They were very kind, patient and thoughtful. They listened and did all they could to make it a more comfortable situation. Thank you for all you did for our family.
In the midst of a hard situation, this team did a great job of caring for us. All the details were explained and handled is a caring, thorough and efficient way. We cannot thank them enough for their professional, personal, and compassionate care.
Klaassen's did a great job of taking care of us, right down to the smallest details. They fiilled out and submitted forms for veterans benefits, organized the honor guard, and even handled getting an error on the death certificate corrected in a timely manner. We appreciated their organization and informing us exactly what we needed to do and when. You run a great business and we would definitely recommend you to anyone.
All of the staff certainly were compassionate and kind and made a difficult time much easier for us. They were helpful and complied with all of our requests and provided a wonderful service. I highly recommend Klaassen Family Funeral Home to anyone in need of funeral service.
When I met Scott Klaassen I felt I could trust him and his staff to help us get through this difficult time. Kurt and his assistant were very professional, Simone and Beth were so kind and Scott and his wife Kathy made me feel like they really cared about us. I also had the chance to meet Mr Klaassen who was very caring as well. I recommend this funeral home to take care of your loved one and assure you that you won't be disappointed
We appreciate all you have done during this difficult journey. Your care and support, kindness and love meant so much to us.
Dear Klaassen Team,
Thank you for your support and guidance with the arrangements for Beverly Lattin. Your respectful professionalism was most appreciated.
Thank you for doing such a wonderful job and taking such good care of us.
Thank you so very much for all your help and care with the sudden passing of my beloved husband Butch Steadman. I was a such a loss not knowing what to do, but you were there to help us in this most difficult time. Again, thank you so much.
