Dave Wexall

John David Wexall, age 72 of Grand Haven passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016. Dave was born November 10, 1943 to John and Edna (Costello) Wexall in Oshawa, Ontario. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration at Cleary University. On June 19, 1965 Dave married the former Barbara Traver in Mississauga, Ontario. Dave and Barb lived in Ann Arbor.  Dave worked for Ford Motor Company for several years.  He later found his calling in the restaurant business and owned and operated a Wendy’s franchise. Following retirement Dave and Barb moved to Grand Haven. Dave attended Watermark Church, was a member of area car clubs and worked with the Coast Guard Auxiliary in several capacities. He enjoyed fishing and reading, especially historical non-fiction. Dave enjoyed his retirement largely due to the quality time he was able to spend with his family. Dave will be lovingly remembered by his wife Barb; daughter Wendy (Scot) Hiteshew of Ida, MI; sons Steve (Krista) Wexall of Grand Haven, Jeff (Elana) Wexall of Big Sky, MT; grandchildren BreAnna and Connor Hiteshew, Taylor, Allie, Megan and Riley Wexall; sister Joan Tomblin of Burlington, Ontario; sister-in-law Betty (Jim) Saunders of Mississauga, Ontario and his furry companion Sam. A Celebration of Life will be held for Dave at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Watermark Church in Grand Haven with Steve Thompson officiating.
