Ted “Jesse” James, age 77 of Nunica passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 at home. Ted was born September 21, 1937 to Owen and Mildred (Mosier) James in Fennville, MI. He proudly served his country in US Navy. Ted married Marcia Streng on June 13, 1969 in Grand Haven. He worked for Consumers Energy for 35 years prior to his retirement in 2000. Ted and his sons enjoyed the outdoors and all it had to offer; fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. He had a passion for working on cars, reading and watching old westerns during his leisure time. Ted was a member of the Amvets Post 1988 in Baldwin where he also enjoyed spending time at the cabin with his family. He took great pride watching his grandchildren. Ted is survived by his loving wife, Marcia; sons, Shawn (Suzanne) James of Spring Lake, Chad (Aimee) James of West Olive, Cameron (Joi) James of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Sy, Morgan, Abigail, Laney, Macie, Zebulun, Sidney, Josie, Sadie; great grandson, Ivyn. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Mary Ellen, William Mosier and Nelson Mosier. The funeral service for Ted will be 11:00 am Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Fr. Norman Droski officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the American Legion Charles A. Conklin Post 28. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Mary, Seat of Wisdom Capital Campaign, St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
