We hope our thoughts and prayers will be a comfort to Shirley's family. We have missed Shirley at First United Methodist Church but glad that she was within the comfort of her family. Shirley shared her talent for playing piano at many United Methodist Women's events. She was a caring and loving lady. God Bless,
Grace and Lytle Miller

My sincerest condolences to you Lynn, Nan, and Mark. Your Mom and I first met in Farwell when she worked in the Elementary School library... probably around 1972... And then of course, we became neighbors in Mt. Pleasant on Glenwood Drive. I have many fond memories of your Mom... Her kindness...her creativity...her gentleness...her friendliness...and her devotion to church and family. Shirley is in Heaven now...but she will certainly remain in your hearts forever. Hugs, Kathy

We had great times on Glenwood Dr. Such a great neighborhood for my
parents. I always remember my Dad giving Alissa a tomato to take home and put on her kitchen window sill to ripen. She was so small her little hand could hardly hold it and turns out you didn't even have kitchen window sills!!!

So sorry to her of your mother's passing. She was a great lady! My visits to Farwell, Mt. Pleasant or Lake Columbia were always filled with warmth, fun, good food and lovely surroundings! She always made me feel welcome! She was a lovely, intelligent, and vibrant lady with the best family. Toni Jackson (Lynn's friend from CMU)

Dear Nan, Lynn and Mark,
We're saddened to hear of your mother's passing. Working with her at school and church was always a pleasure. We remember all the times she helped Don with solo and ensemble events by playing the piano for the students...and sometimes tutoring them through the piece. She was also a VERY helpful secretary at school! She surely will be missed by your family. Your family will be in our prayers. Ruth and Don Volz
