I am listening to a Dvorack string quartet on blue lake with a cognac and thinking of Robert and our good time in Orange and chateau nu pape. Thinking of roz and all of our colleagues at our little college. Sante. Lynn

So sad, Rozzie and Kathryn. I've just finished writing an account of my visit to you two, Roz and Robert, the year you were in Cairanne. I came with my sister Roxanne; Bob Burns was there too. You served us a gorgeous extended meal with Robert overseeing wine changes for every course, and I got crashingly drunk. Still feel foolish, but the memory shines. Robert was always a huge part of your lovely dinners and parties. He'll be alive in my mind as long as I am.

I am so very sorry to hear of Robert's passing. Such a bright and talented man. We were very pleased to see him at the library the past few months to enjoy the Irish music sessions. Wishing you comfort and peace in this time of loss.

Robert was instrumental in my coming to Grand Valley. While I never got to know him well, I respected him so much, and, of course, love his daughter very much! May his memory be for a blessing. I am so sorry for your loss.
