Maurice was my sixth grade teacher at Central School in Grand Haven. I learned a lot from him and admired the very encouraging way he handled his students. I remember him fondly now 62 years later. I followed in his footsteps and became an educator, retiring this year as a community college administrator in Oceanside, California My sympathy to the family. Dick Robertson

So sorry for your loss. Mr. Boon was my favorite 6th grade teacher at Ferry school 45 yrs ago. Never forgot him. My fondest memory of him was his sense of humor especially when he turned his hearing aid off when we were to loud in class. Always had a smile on his face and a compassion for his students, bar none.
