Dearest Barb and siblings in the passing of your loved one!
Our hearts and thoughts go out to all of you for the absence of your husband and father. Larry was a true friend and a great example to many! So enjoyed the obituary! So sorry we didn't get to know you more intimately over the past years but did enjoyed the few times we spent together through the Class of 1958 from Caledonia High School!
We will keep you all in our thoughts and especially our prayers as you mourn the loss of a loved one.
Love and prayers to all of you!
Jack & Gerry Thornton

Barb and Girls:
So sorry on the loss of your dad, husband, grandpa, Larry. Over the years our acquaintances have been hit and miss......I think Erik knew you, Barb, and Ashley too in his grade and we met you several times, as
well....saw Larry's obit in the papers and immediately thought of your family and your grief during this incredibly difficult time.
Thinking about you all and sending care and concern. Ann, Marc, Erik, and Jill Jepsen

Dear Larry,
Your obituary picture is not very good. You are scowling, not smiling. I guess you didn't like the photographer!
I am so sorry that you have passed away. The Good Lord took you away, way too soon. You were such a kind , loving and thoughtful man. I know how much you loved your children and grandchildren and of course golf. You will be missed by everyone that knew you and I feel blessed because I was fortunate enough to have known you for so long.
May you rest in peace. You deserve it.
Happy Birthday.

Hi Sue, Barb, Elise, and Ashley,

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I am sad, too, to know that we have lost such a special man. I remember Mr. Butterworth from our college girl visits home to Sue's and your parent's visits to our house in Kalamazoo. I remember him as a caring and engaged father to Sue, and remember her reports about their close relationship and his supportiveness toward her. It was nice to hear a bit more about all his accomplishments in life. He will surely be missed.

Lots of love to you, Suzy, and to your family,
Fixture

Barb and all of Larry's family,
I am so sorry to learn of Larry's passing. We worked together at Borgess Medical Center Laboratory in Kalamazoo for a long time many years ago. He was a great co-worker and a wonderful person.

I have a fond memory of a gentlemanly young man in English class as his teacher at Caledonia High and an occasional lift to his home if he missed his bus. S popincere condolences to his family and friends.
