Our sincere sympathy and prayers to you, Carrie, and family. We enjoyed John's musical talents in the Guys in the Neighborhood Band and that John let my young grandson play the drums while sitting on his lap at a gig we had. He loves the drums and has a set in his basement. Thanks for all the music and memories!!! We miss you already!

To the Seylhower family. Its sad to hear of the passing of John. I got to know him over the years from the G.H. Eagles and the clown band. I was honored to know him. The family is in my thoughts and prayers.

My Dad & John were good friends. Played many years together in the Scottville Clown Band. I have many fond memories of them in their crazy costumes.

My deepest sympathy to the family.

To Carrie & Jodi and Family; Hugs and Prayers to all of you in the passing of your beloved, John! I met all of you when I worked as a waitress at the Tip A Few. What a joy it was to meet all of you. John has always been a joy to be around and he always had that same wonderful personality and smile for all of us. He lived a great life and He will now be playing music in heaven. Rest in Peace, John! You will be missed by all of us!

Rest in Peace, Johnnie! Fellow drummer, Past Prez, and Life Member of the Scottville Clown Band. Great memories shared over the many years going down the street and entertaining our fans. We will never forget the "Ding-Dong Man", a great guy & true friend. Glad you could play with us one more time at the 2015 Coast Guard Festival.

One of the nicest men I have come to know. I enjoyed his friendship as a fellow drummer in the Scottville Clown Band. He was a fine musician, fascinating person, and always kind to my sons and I. We will all miss him. I am so sorry for your loss.

I met John through the Scottville Clown Band and as a new member, John always had something positive to contribute to my performances with the band. He simply was a really nice guy. My wife &I hosted the Police Band from Maastricht. My wife & I have visited Math & Riny Jalhay, the Drum Major of that band many times, both here and in Maastricht, Netherlands. John was always interested in those visits. John has been missed by the SCB and I personally miss him a lot. RIP, Soldier, your mission was a success!
