To the Family of Jim Sall: I was very sorry to hear that Jim had passed away. He frequently popped into my mind, and I would wonder what he was up to nowadays. Jim was always such an imposing figure, l just expected he would go on forever. Working for Jim in Mayor Roman Gribbs' office was the highlight of my 14 years with the city of Detroit. Thank you for the memories, and rest in peace, Jim.

Dearest Joan and Family,

I just found out about cousin Jim's passing yesterday 4/3 and what a shock to hear this sad news so soon after Dad's passing. I was planning on writing another note to you both soon. He and dad are now sharing stories and having a good get-together in Heaven. Prayers are being sent your way. God be with you at this difficult time.
Love,
Kathy

My condolences to the Sall family. Jim had a lifetime of significant accomplishments and service to his community. You have every reason to be proud o his legacy. I am grateful for the opportunities that he gave me. I shall also remember his sense of humor that brought balance to his military discipline.

Just got an email notice from another Wallace family member and we obviously missed being able to be there with the Sall family. We knew Jim and the Salls via the Lancendorfer family for years. We didn't see Jim much but anytime we did, it was most enjoyable. Our thoughts and prayers go to his wife and family.

So sorry for your loss. "Uncle" Jim was a great Man who made everyone he came in contact with feel special and gave them his undivided attention. I will always hold fondly the memories of my childhood as well as all of the talks we had through the years and the great advice and guidance he was always willing to give. I am very sorry we couldn't make it up for the services.

He will be greatly missed.
