I would like to take a moment to just remember my grandfather. It’s been years since I’ve thought about him because my old mindset was I had to forget to be able to move on. The closer I grew to god and found Christianity and started going to church, the more I started to remember. I never spent much time with my grandpa and I was so young that when I did, all I did was complain and never get any quality time in with him. I know I was just a young kid but I regret not taking a moment to really learn who my grandpa was, or just to spend some real time with him. I will always remember the few real moments I had with you and will always remember the hundreds of family dinners we had together.

I took a moment today to read through some of the notes people had left and I just hope that when I die, I have just as many loving and caring people around me as my grandpa did. I also hope that one day I can fill the shoes of someone who seemed to always love, care for, and support everyone around him. I’ll always be thinking about you grandpa. Love you. Wish you could see who I grew up to be. I hope you would be proud.

I am very sorry to know of Jim's passing. I met him once 30 years ago through work with American Greetings. He made SUCH an impression on me as a young nervous employee. I obviously have not forgotten him. Sometimes you meet someone, even just once, and know you have been changed by that brief time. A very special man.

Dear Marge,
My love and condolences to you and your family. I shall always remember his infectious laugh and wonderful smile! He called his favorite cousin, and my best friend, Kitten which always pleased her. He was such a kind and generous person and shall be missed by many. Fondly, Grace Ann

Marge, Leigh, Jimmy & family, I am so sorry to hear about Jim, or as I called him "Jimbo". He was a boss, father-figure, mentor & friend. So many good memories & so many stories. I would like to think he had the best retirement party ever thrown for a single person in history, at least it was the only one at which the hot thighs story was told :) Love you guys, keeping you in my thoughts

I was so sorry to read that Jim had died. We were neighbors growing up on Lake Avenue and spent many hours as young kids playing at each others homes. Living across the street from Jim, we shared many fun times together from elementary school through high school. He was a great fun and has given me many fond memories of my life in Grand Haven. I know he will be missed.

Dear Marge and family,
I was so sad to learn that Jim passed. I fondly remember the two of you together in school and later at the Bilmar. I often sat near Jim in classes..alphabetical order...and when he lost his contacts spent time looking for them with him.
He was always so friendly to everyone...we will miss him at the reunions.

My deepest sympathies to you for your loss. It was such a pleasure to meet Jim when Bill and I came to your home for dinner several years ago. His bright smile and warmth are well remembered and Bill spoke of him with the fondest of memories. May you find peace from sharing a life well lived with such a vibrant man.

I am so sorry for your loss...I grew up across the street from Jim and have very fond memories of the family. My parents, Mary and Larry Gardner were very good friends of Tom and Lorraine. I remember the boys patiently shooting hoops with me and the great tire swing over the gully and the fun we had..sweet memories!
