James H. Bourque
February 5, 2016James H. Bourque, age 47 of Grand Haven passed away Friday, February 5, 2016 at home after a 15 month battle with esophageal cancer. Jim was born December 19, 1968 to Daniel and Velma (Gleason) Bourque in Grand Haven. He married Kelly Beverly on January 17, 2004. Jim graduated from Grand Haven High School in 1987. Following high school, he worked as a Tool and Die maker for M & S Tool. Jim then went on to start Ridgid Slotting with his wife Kelly where he was the owner/operator. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing and was famous for his fish fry’s and smoked fish. Jim also loved to spend his time traveling, wood carving and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Kelly; sons, Cory Pfeffer and Devin (Alexandra) Pfeffer of Grand Haven; parents, Dan and Velma Bourque of Grand Haven; in-laws, Bud (Delores) Beverly of Grand Haven; siblings, Jody, Jeff and Peter Bourque all of Grand Haven; sister-in-law, Lisa (Gary) Humphrey of Grand Haven; brother-in-law, Mark Beverly of Grand Haven; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Hope Reformed Church with Pastor Tim Taylor officiating. Interment will be in Robinson Township Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 3 – 7 pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jim Bourque Memorial Fund. The previously scheduled Fundraiser Benefit for Jim Bourque will be held as scheduled on February 20, 2016 from 4 -10 pm at the Grand Haven Eagles.
