Rick,
I'm sorry to have heard about Bev's passing. I seen her at a restaurant with a friend a couple years ago and learned of her stroke, she didn't remember me but still carried on a conversation. Again I'm sorry for your loss she was a great woman and boss.

We are so sorry to learn of Bev's passing. We just returned to FL after Herb Ott's funeral, but otherwise we would have been at her visitation or memorial service. Bev was always so friendly and cheerful and she always had a ready smile and laugh. She was a great friend. We will miss running into her in the community.
With sincere sympathy, Don & Joy Ott

Dear Rick and family, l am very sorry for your great loss. I have fond memories of Bev from my childhood. I still remember the day I met her. I was really little. She was always laughing. She was such a wonderful friend to my mom. Blessing to your family as you find your way moving forward. There is no easy way around grief. Take good care of yourselves. You have been on my heart. I am praying for peace and understanding of some kind for you always. Respectfully, Claudine

Dear Family: It breaks our hearts when death separates us from our loved ones no matter how young or how old they may happen to be. We are reminded in the Bible that there is One who sees our distress and pain and has promised (soon) that death will be done away with...swallowed up forever. (Isaiah 25:8) He will heal our broken hearts by resurrecting our precious loved ones to life again. (John 5:28, 29) I hope in the days ahead as you reflect on the life of your loved one, and the precious memories left behind, that you will also find much comfort in God's promises to us for the near future, for they will not fail to come true. (Titus 1:2) My deepest sympathy to you.

Rick, thank you so much for allowing my mother (Sharon) and I to get to know you and fall in love with Beverly over the past few years. She was a light in our lives even on her most headstrong days.
A few memories of Bev that keep Sharon and I smiling are as follows:

-One day while out on a drive, Bev was getting impatient at a red light. She looked at Sharon and exclaimed "go!", to which Sharon let off the brake only to see the light was still red. She looked at Bev and said "Don't say that, the light is still red", Beverly, in all her wit, said "well, then don't listen!"
-Sharon and Bev used to drive to the casino every Wednesday to spend the day playing the penny slots. Beverly could hit those buttons on the slot machine so fast and so hard that Sharon often worried she'd have to go back and tell Rick that Bev went for broke in an hour at the casino.
-When the new Highway 231 opened this past September, Beverly and I took a long ride on a sunny afternoon. I kept Patsy Cline's Greatest Hits in my car just for Beverly and on this particular day Bev sang the entire album. I hold this memory of Beverly near and dear, because it was absolutely gorgeous.
- Sharon and Bev were great at shopping together. :) They frequented The Purple Rose Boutique in Grand Haven where Bev always found great sparkly pieces, the antique shops around town were another favorite of Beverly's. A special thanks goes to Pam at The Sam's Club jewelry counter for always hauling out any piece of jewelry Bev's heart desired to look at, and also to Prenger's in Muskegon for always making sure Bev's ring was sparkly and clean when she walked out of their doors.
- Beverly's voice made everyone smile; Sharon used to YouTube hours of old hymns to play for Bev, and Bev would sing right along. Beverly may have loved the song "Amazing Grace", but Sharon can't help but believe that Frank Sinatra's "I Did It My Way" is the theme song of Beverly's life.

Rick and Family,
I am so saddened by the passing of Bev. I truly enjoyed the years I did get to know both Rick and Bev and all the terrific interactions we had in business.

You are in our thoughts and prayers.
