Bobbie Joe Roberson, age 73 of Robinson Township, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 25, 1948 in Muskegon, MI to the late James M. and Emma (Strejoek) Roberson. Bobbie was married to Linda Sorensen, who survives him.
Bobbie graduated from Whitehall High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the US Army from 1968 to 1970, during the Vietnam War Era. He then moved from the Whitehall area to Grand Haven, and began working for Eagle Ottawa Leather Co., where he worked for 38 years before retiring.
Bobbie was a hard worker who enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, playing horseshoes, and traveling to visit family in Kentucky.
Bobbie is lovingly remembered and missed by his wife, Linda Roberson; two sons, James (Tara) Roberson, and Christopher Roberson, both of Grand Haven; grandchildren, Jase and River; sister, Joyce (Fred) Dake; brother, Jack Roberson; father-in-law, Richard Krywicki; brother-in-law, Bob Sorensen; sisters-in-law, Barb (Doug) Miller, and Marie Sorensen; and his beloved cat, “Pickles.”
He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Jean Krywicki; and granddaughter, Jolene Roberson.
Private family services will be held. Interment will be at Robinson Township Cemetery.
