So sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. I have so many fond memories from Cub Scouts and Den meetings (his Mom was Den mother). Wayne and I spent lots of time in the marsh behind his house, with our BB guns and later duck hunting. One time running from the marsh when the morning bell rang for Spring Lake School and leaving our guns and coats in the cloak room outside Gil Van Wieren's class room. Then, after class taking our hunting equipment home. I remember washing cars at the Gulf Station with him and picking up girls in Wayne's yellow convertible. I could fill a book with our experiences growing up in Spring Lake.
