Roberta "Bobbie" (Hasenmiller) Burke

Roberta “Bobbie” Burke, age 98 of Grand Haven passed away Friday, December 2, 2016. Bobbie was born July 24, 1918 to John and Alice (Mess) Hasenmiller in LeClaire, IA. She moved to Grand Haven after retiring from the banking business in La Grange, Illinois at age 85. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and active with Four Pointes Center, in particular, she loved her tap dancing group and working with the Special Education students. Bobbie enjoyed craft making, knitting and keeping up with the latest news. She was an animal lover, especially of dogs. Bobbie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and had a way about her that made them feel special when they were together. She had a profound influence on the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing her. Bobbie will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Kristine (James) Hobeck, Patricia (Tom) Gates, Michele Bennett; sons, James (DeeDee) Burke, Robert (Amy) Burke; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Merilee Burke and brothers, Arno Hasenmiller and Robert Hasenmiller. A private family service will be held at a later date.
