Nancy (Katt) Tysman

Nancy Tysman, age 75 of Grand Haven, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Lakeshore Assisted Living. Nancy was born May 25, 1940 to the late John and Bernice (Anderson) Katt in Grand Haven. During high school and following graduation, Nancy worked as a bookkeeper for Holtrop Concrete where she met William Tysman. They later married in the fall of 1959 in Grand Haven. Nancy was an excellent bookkeeper and for over 54 years worked with Bill, running Bill Tysman Snow Plowing and Robbins Road Hardware. Nancy was a member of First Christian Reformed Church where she served on the library and building committees. She loved traveling and took trips every year with her mom and dad and later enjoyed traveling with Bev Purcell, her life-long friend. Nancy was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking.  She will be remembered as being a devoted and wonderful wife. Nancy is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bill; brother-in-law, Ed (Pam) Tysman of Grand Haven; sister-in-law, Barb Katt of Fruitport; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Katt. The funeral service for Nancy will be 11:00 am Friday, October 30, 2015 at First Christian Reformed Church with Pastor David Spoelma officiating. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery. Friends and relatives may meet the family from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.
