Milo Christie, age 91 of Grand Haven passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016. Milo was born January 28, 1925 to Enos and Lula (Venner) Christie in Lake City, MI. He served in the US Navy during both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He married Pauline Hutchinson on March 2, 1946. She preceded him in death in 1994. Milo worked as a plant manager for Harbor Industries. He was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W. Milo is survived by his grandchildren Floyd Fonte of Grand Haven, Terri Carl of Grand Rapids, Brenda Russ of Coopersville, Tammy Griffin of Merritt Island, FL; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Margaret Coleman of Lake City, MI. He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Judy Ponte Kidd and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service for Milo will take place 2:00 pm Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Brest officiating. Interment will be in Grand Haven Township Lakeshore Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion Charles A. Conklin Post #28. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
