Bruce, Rick and Lynn, Sorry for your loss....
We have some great memories of Mary over on Waverly Street, growing up with Rick and Lynn. It was great hanging out at the Boes house as Mary was so kind to all of us, providing great advice getting us through those teenage years. She's in a much better place right now and I know the family is relieved that she is not suffering from Alzheimer's anymore. My mother passed away two years ago with this terrible disease so I know exactly what the family went through. They are both in Gods hands now...take care

Mary was such a wonderful teacher with a joy in giving her gift of learning to children in such a creative and caring way. When I got out of college many years ago and my first job was at Holmes Elementary Mary took me under her wing, shared everything, listened and supported. She was a team player and put the love of learning in many hearts.
We are sending thoughts and prayers to her wonderful family.

My love for Mary goes way beyond words! As a paraprofessional for Spring Lake Public Schools for 24 years everything I knew I learned from Mary. She was such an inspiration. Wasn't afraid to criticize when needed and had an unbelievable love of children. Best teacher ever! Love you Mary!! Always will. Rest In Peace, friend.

Our deepest sympathy to all of you in Mary's passing. Mary was such a fantastic lady, I so enjoyed every conversation I ever had with her. (She always reminded me of my Grandma Smoes) Knowing her was a blessing and the world is a much better place because she was in it. We are so very sorry for your loss. Our love and prayers are with you today and in the days ahead.
