Mark Gavin Taylor

Mark Taylor, age 56 of Grand Haven, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus. Mark was born July 23, 1958 to Kenneth and Nina (Creighton) Taylor in Aldershot, United Kingdom. As a young child Mark enjoyed playing Rugby in his native hometown and remained a supporter of the sport after moving to the States. He was a collector of various British music genres and had an extensive collection of which he enjoyed listening to. Since the tender age of ten Mark took great pleasure in riding motorcycles. As a family, when the girls were younger, many summer weekends were spent camping. Mark leaves behind his loving wife, Karen; daughters, Alix, Kelsie, and Bailey Taylor all at home; mother, Nina Taylor; mother-in-law, Barbara Whittle; brother, David (Beverly) Taylor; sister-in-law, Paula Whittle; brothers-in-law, Ian Whittle (Sharon O’Brien) and David (Rhianon) Whittle all of the United Kingdom. Mark was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Taylor and father-in-law, Wally Whittle. The funeral service for Mark will be 11:00 am Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Hope Reformed Church with Pastor Tim Taylor officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.
