Marilyn Helen (Maurer) Kirsch

Marilyn Helen Kirsch, age 89 of Spring Lake passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Heartwood Lodge Hospice House. Marilyn was born December 9, 1926 to the late Gustav and Selma (Brϋck) Maurer in Detroit. She graduated from Eastern High School. Marilyn married Louis Kirsch on September 14, 1946 in Detroit. Louis passed away on May 4, 2007. She was a long time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Utica, MI where she was involved in the choir, missionary guild and many other church activities. Marilyn was also a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Grand Haven. She enjoyed spending time with her family at their summer home in Presque Isle Harbor, MI and wintering in Naples, FL. Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Joann (John) Jarvi, Carol Ann (Ron) Chusid both of Spring Lake; grandchildren, Steven (Joanne) Jarvi, Katie Jarvi, Jordan Chusid; great-grandchildren, Noah and Alice Jarvi. A private family service has already been held. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Detroit.
