Frank J. Vrablic

Mr. Frank J. Vrablic, age 96, of Grand Haven passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at a local care facility. He was born March 3, 1919 in Muskegon, MI to Frank (Mary Beer) Vrablic. Frank married Betty Beekman on February 27, 1943 in Grand Haven. She preceded him in death on June 6, 2009. Frank was a captain for the Grand Haven Fire Department retiring in 1981 after 33 years of service. Frank was a life time member of the Grand Haven Eagles and also belonged to the V.F.W. He enjoyed fishing, camping and trying his luck in the casinos. Frank is survived by his loving family: daughters, Shirley (Joel) Schmitt, Linda Hall both of Grand Haven and Barb (Paul) Bruder  of West Olive; sons, James (Freda) Vrablic of Grand Haven and Don (Ann) Vrablic of Coldwater, MI; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren;  sisters, Helen Langlois, Betty (Hale) Gee, Theresa (Ora Jr) Richert;  two brothers,  Michael (Nancy) Vrablic and Anthony (Carol) Vrablic; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, David Vrablic; son-in-law, Spencer Hall; sisters, Katy Snyder, Maggie Farkas and Pauline Glover.The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 2016, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Elzinga officiating. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery. Relatives and friends may greet the family from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 21st at the funeral home.
