Florence Louise (Kleinhans) Garrett

Florence Louise Garrett, age 96 of Spring Lake passed away Monday, July 25, 2016. Florence was born February 14, 1920 to Ernest and Bertha (Gombert) Kleinhans in Romeo, Michigan. After doing her part to serve her country as a “Rosie the Riveter” she later moved to California with her husband and daughter in 1957, where she stayed for the next forty years. Florence was artistically gifted and created many beautiful watercolor paintings throughout the years. She had a love for automobiles starting with owning her own Packard. Her true passion was her love of dancing during the Big Band Era and was blessed to have the opportunity to travel throughout the United States and abroad. Florence will be dearly missed by her daughter Marlene Bushaw of Spring Lake; grandsons, Steve and Jeff Bushaw; 3 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her 2 brothers, Norm and Earl. A  Private Graveside Service will take place on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Holland, Michigan.
