Yvonne Joyce (Clink) VanDuinen

Yvonne Joyce VanDuinen, age 87, of Grand Haven, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024. She was born on December 12, 1937, in Grand Haven, MI, to the late Arthur and Charlotte (Hiler) Clink. She married Harvey Lind in 1970, and he preceded her in death in 2004. She then married Wayne VanDuinen in 2006, and he preceded her in death in 2022.

Yvonne grew up in Grand Haven and was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ. She enjoyed music and loved playing the piano. She and Wayne enjoyed playing cards and dice games weekly with Yvonne’s sister, Jo Anne. Yvonne enjoyed family get-togethers and was most known for being a wonderful cook and baker, her specialties being her homemade bread and pizza.  

Yvonne will be lovingly remembered and missed by her son, David (Jeannie) Marcus; her sister, Jo Anne (Dale) Blackmer; brother, Larry (Bee) Clink; granddaughters, Beth (Keith) Scott and Amanda (Don) Brown; several great-grandchildren; her first husband, James (Jan) Marcus; and several stepchildren and step-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and both husbands, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Downie; two sons, John “Jack” Marcus and Robert Marcus; grandson, Christopher Carlson; and three brothers: Tom, Bill, and Bob Clink.

The Memorial Service for Yvonne will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2025, at Klaassen Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Matt Schmidt officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be next to her second husband, Harvey, at Lake Forest Cemetery.
