William "Bill" Folston McCormack Jr.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of William Folston McCormack Jr., age 63, on February 6, 2020. He was born on February 27, 1956 in Grand Rapids, MI to the late William and Maxine (Rudnik) McCormack Sr.

William graduated from East Grand Rapids High School in 1974. Following graduation, Bill attended Western Michigan University and obtained his Bachelor degree with emphasis on History and Political Science. He continued his education at Grand Valley State University, completing his certification in Elementary Education.

Upon his retirement, William landed his dream job as a greenkeeper at Grand Haven Golf Club. Bill loved the game of golf, and all his fellow golfers relished the opportunity to play a round with him. He was a founding member of the "Just Looking, Thanks" golf league and cherished playing with his partner, Kris Johnson, and his "brother," Jeff Bowman.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Patricia; and their daughter, Paige McCormack (Jacob Hill) - his greatest joy with whom he shared his beautiful blue eyes with. Also surviving are his grandson, Jude Hill; sisters, Lori Rankin and Mary McCormack; and many other loved ones. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Teresa and JoAnn McCormack.

A Celebration of Bill's Life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the American Dunes Golf Club (formerly the Grand Haven Golf Club), 17000 Lincoln St., Grand Haven.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Harbor Humane Society or Pound Buddies.
