William "Bill" Hanson Obituary

William “Bill” Fredrick Hanson, age 83 of Grand Haven, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at a local care facility. He was born on June 19, 1936 in Royal Oak, MI to the late Milton and Ethel (Bromley) Hanson.

Bill graduated from Dondero High School and worked for as an independent electrician, IBEW Local Union 58 for many years before his retirement. He was a member of the Grand Haven Eagles, FOE #925 and enjoyed boating, motorcycles, and classic cars. Bill was a very religious man who loved his family and the Lord.

Bill is remembered and missed by his daughter, Amy (Mark) Mikula of Grand Haven; two grandsons, Erik (Shuree) Hanson and Andrew Farran; two great-granddaughters, Abygail and Adaline Hanson; sister, Ruth Barron; brothers, John Hanson of Charlevoix, MI and Jerry (Linda) Hanson of Arizona; several nieces and nephews; and close friend, Mike Lewis.

He was preceded in death by two wives, Nancy and Marci; his son, William F. Hanson, Jr.; brother, Richard Hanson; brother-in-law, John Barron; and sister-in-law, Norma Hanson.

A Celebration of Life for Bill will be held, and announced at a later date. Interment will be at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, MI.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of North Ottawa Community.
