Wesley B. Parsons

Wesley B. Parsons, age 90 of Grand Haven, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at a local care facility. He was born on December 9, 1930 in Grand Haven, MI to the late Jack and Winifred (Keech) Parsons. Wesley married Beverly Braheny on March 26, 1949 in Ferrysburg, MI.

Wes proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. He worked for Bastian Blessing Co. as a welder for 32 years, and then did maintenance for Ottawa Area Intermediate School District for 9 years before his retirement.

Wes was a member of the American Legion Post 28 and loved to go walking, and in his earlier years, he enjoyed roller-skating.

Wesley is lovingly remembered and missed by his wife of 72 years, Beverly; his two daughters, Vicki Purdy and Gloria Elenbaas; his son, Gordon (Victoria) Parsons; nine grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Veihl; grandson, Roger Elenbaas; and several brothers and sisters.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
