Virginia “Ginny” E. Miller, age 94 of Grand Haven, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Grand Pines Assisted Living. She was born on January 13, 1927 in Grand Haven, MI to the late Arthur and Emma (Wallace) Pellegrom. Ginny married Richard L. Miller on September 17, 1954, and he preceded her in death on June 30, 2006 after 51 years of marriage.
As a young woman, Ginny worked at Reichardt’s and Kirk’s Camera Shop. Later in life, she worked at Schroeder-Lamb Estate Sales for many years, which she enjoyed tremendously. Ginny loved to bake and was known for her “Double Peanut-Butter Cookies.” She and Dick created so many beautiful wood-working items over the years, and Ginny loved fishing with him, especially at Rice Lake, Canada. Her grand-dog, Snickers, who preceded her in death, was a special joy in her life.
Ginny is survived by her loving daughter, Diane, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; and her brother, Jack Pellegrom.
The family would like to give a special “Thank You” to everyone at Grand Pines Assisted Living. The love and care she received from all of you made the last three years of her life the best as possible. Also, thank you to Hospice of North Ottawa Community, you were wonderful.
Private family services have taken place.
Memorial Contributions in Ginny’s name may be made to Harbor Humane Society.
