Thomas "Tom" Matthew Harz

Thomas “Tom” Matthew Harz, age 64 of Grand Haven, passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2020 at home. He was born on November 14, 1955 in Grand Haven, MI to the late Raymond and Lorraine (Kunstler) Harz.

Tom graduated from Grand Haven High School and proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1975 to 1979. He most recently worked at Ray’s Drive-In of Grand Haven, as well as Tip-A-Few for over 10 years. Tom enjoyed being outdoors, golfing, and catching a ball game on television with friends and co-workers at the Tip-A-Few, where he was a familiar face and staple of the town.

Tom will be remembered and missed by his two sisters, Patricia Bodell of Portland, OR and Joanne (Jerry) Stack of Grand Haven; his five brothers, Ray (Sandy) Harz of Grand Haven, Jim Harz of Northern Michigan, Dave Harz of Grand Haven, Dan Harz of Grand Rapids, and Mike Harz of Florida; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Barbara (Harz) Bonny in 2011.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Tom’s life will be held at the Tip-A-Few, Grand Haven, on Saturday, November 14, 2020 starting at 12:00 p.m.
