Stephanie Sue (Veach) Welling

Stephanie Sue Welling, age 75 of Robinson Township, passed away on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at North Ottawa Community Hospital. She was born on August 28, 1946 in Carlinville, IL to the late Henry “Hank” and Esther (Welton) Veach. Stephanie married Ronald Welling on March 20, 2010 in Grand Haven.

Stephanie proudly served in the US Army as a Nurse for 2 years and went on to become a horse trainer and owner of her own horse stable. She loved riding and training the horses and participated in several parades and competitions over the years. Stephanie was a long-time member of the Ottawa Center Chapel and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and quilting. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and being a grandma to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Stephanie is lovingly remembered and missed by her husband of 11 years, Ron; her daughter, Christina (Kyle) Sullivan; three sons, Rhett Wamsley, Aaron Leavitt, and John Fox; step-daughters, Brooke (Bruce) Billingsely-Kinzer, Lisa (Paul) Roudebush, Jaci (Phil) Kretschmar, and Jennifer (Jim) Warner; her eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her two sisters, Sherry Pratt and Vivianne Veach-Cook.

The Memorial Service for Stephanie will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Ottawa Center Chapel in Coopersville, with Pastor Robert Porterfield officiating.
