Sandra “Sandy” Jean (Boyink) Krause

Sandra “Sandy” Jean Krause, age 84 of Spring Lake, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at a local care facility in Allendale. She was born on January 9, 1936 in Grand Haven, MI to the late Stewart and Ann (Hodal) Boyink. Sandy married Roger W. Krause on September 22, 1956 in Grand Haven. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2003.

Sandy graduated from Grand Haven High School. She worked for Kieft Insurance Company from the age of 14 until her retirement.

Sandy enjoyed doing word puzzles, reading, camping, traveling, and going to the casinos. She also enjoyed cooking, spending time and going out for lunches and birthdays with her high school girlfriends.

She is lovingly remembered and missed by her daughters, Lori (Scott) Salamasick, Lisa (Dan) Spangler, Diane Krause (Gordon Beebe); sons, Mike (Cindy) Krause, Chris (Sue) Krause, Mark Krause; friend who was like a son, Norman Coolbaugh; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Judy Herrington; brother, Steve (Cheryl) Boyink; in-laws; Ron (Beverly) Purcell; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger; sister, Barbara (Fernon) Feenstra; and in-laws, Mel Herrington and Bill (Barb) Miller.

The Memorial Service for Sandra will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 20, 2020 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Fr. David Gross officiating. Interment will be at Spring Lake Township Cemetery.
