Rosemary Rice DeCamp, age 94 of Spring Lake, MI, formerly of Harbor Springs, MI, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at a local care facility. She was born on January 3, 1929, in Flint, MI, to the late James and Mary (Davison) Rice. Rosemary married Stacey DeCamp in June, 1954, in Flint, Michigan. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1975, after 21 years of marriage.
Rosemary was a resident of Flint until she relocated to Harbor Springs, Michigan in 1980. She remained a resident there until moving to Spring Lake in 2008. Rosemary was a graduate of Kingswood School Cranbrook and received her Bachelor of Liberal Arts Degree in Art History from Smith College. Rosemary enjoyed: Art, Dogs, nature, family, reading, and an active lifestyle.
Rosemary will be lovingly remembered and missed by her two daughters, Harriet (James) Lay of Fenton, MI, and Mary (Michael) Cotterall of Spring Lake, MI; her son, Samuel (Alison) DeCamp of Harbor Springs, MI; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Arthur (Isabel) Rice; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Stacey DeCamp, Jr.; and her sister, Virginia Rice Johnson.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Glenwood Cemetery in Flint, MI.
