Ronald Ray Pavlin, age 64 of Grand Haven, passed away on September 1, 2020 at home, surrounded by his family. He was born on April 1, 1956 in Grand Haven, MI to the late Ronald L. and Eliza A. (Griswold) Pavlin. Ron married Janie Wetterman on September 3, 1977 in Grand Haven.
Ron was a graduate of Grand Haven High School Class of 1975 and was a life-long resident of the area. He was a man of faith and attended Covenant Life Church. Ron worked as an installer of modular furniture for Interior Concepts of Spring Lake for his whole career, which gave him the opportunity to travel to many places.
He loved his family, and was a wonderful husband and provider who enjoyed doing home improvements and could fix anything in and around the house. Ron especially enjoyed being outdoors; going on walks and hikes, and going camping and fishing. He also had a specific interest in classic cars and going to car shows, and even had a 1979 Corvette that he loved to drive.
Ron will be remembered and missed by his wife of 42 years, Janie; his daughter, Jennie Ray (Matthew) DeMott of Spring Lake; two grandchildren, Mattee Ray DeMott and Jacksen Jane DeMott; sister, Cathy Pavlin; brothers, Robert and Randy (Gail) Pavlin; sisters-in-law, Marlene Pavlin and Jacqueline Grace; nieces, Jane Rotonda (John Holzhauer), Shirley (Russell) Scheffler; nephews, John Rotonda and Joseph (Kaylee) Rotonda; and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Pavlin; niece, Olivia Pavlin; and nephews, Derek Pavlin and Joshua Rotonda.
