Rodney "Roddy" James Lyttle, age 59, of Grand Haven, passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at home. He was born on May 12, 1966, in Grand Haven, MI, to Richard and Jacqueline (Beverwyk) Lyttle.
Roddy graduated from Grand Haven High School, Class of 1985. He worked in landscaping for most of his work life, and before being diagnosed with cancer, he worked for many years at Polyply Composites Inc., where he made many lifelong friends.
Roddy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing, fishing, and working in his yard. He loved sports and was a big fan car racing at Berlin Raceway, Detroit Lions football, and Detroit Tigers baseball. He was a kind, very outgoing guy, who had an infectious laugh and was known for helping anyone in need.
Roddy is forever remembered and greatly missed by his son, Rodney "R.J." Lyttle; his long-time significant other, Judie Sutton; step-sons, Tyler and Jessie Sutton; many grandchildren; his mother, Jacqueline Lyttle; sister, Linda (Jerry) Baykowski; brothers, Richard (Vicky) Lyttle and Russell (Donna) Lyttle; brother-in-law, Jerry Lee; sister-in-law, Joanne Lyttle; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard; sisters, Lori Bethell and Lisa Lee; and brother, Randall Lyttle.
A Memorial Service for Roddy will be held at a later date to be announced.
