Robin Marie (Reenders) McKay

Robin Marie (Reenders) McKay, age 69, of Grand Haven, passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Trinity Health Muskegon Hospital, after a courageous and long battle with Lupus. She was born on April 11, 1957, in Grand Haven, MI, to Kenneth and Shirley (Luurtsema) Reenders. Robin married Rollin "Kelly" McKay on June 24, 1978, in Grand Haven, MI.

Robin graduated from Grand Haven High School in 1975 and spent many years working for the family business, M & M Storage. She was a loving mother and homemaker who had a zest for life and enjoyed many simple pleasures; shopping, dining out, playing keno, and curling up with a good book - especially a novel by Danielle Steel.

Robin also treasured the time spent at the family cabin, where many special memories were made. She was known for her warm and outgoing nature and truly enjoyed visiting with others. Above all, Robin cherished her grandchildren and loved her family deeply, finding her greatest joy in the time she spent surrounded by those she loved most.

Robin will be lovingly remembered and missed by her loving husband of 47 years, Kelly; her daughter, Breann McKay (Bradley Cummins); two sons, Eric McKay (Katie Penna) and Jordan McKay (Veronica Hall-Roberts); her four beloved grandsons: Berrin McKay, Liahm Nevins, Elliot Cummins, and Caleb; her father, Kenneth Reenders; two brothers, Michael (Sue) Reenders and Steven (Deb) Reenders; siblings-in-law, Debbie (Don) Curtis, Bonnie (Ken) Lewis, and Steve Gray; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, including her niece, Annette Fowler.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Reenders; her sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Bud Metz; brother-in-law, Ted McKay; and sister-in-law, Patti Gray.

The Funeral Service for Robin will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Hope Church Grand Haven, with Pastor Scott Miller officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15th at Klaassen Family Funeral Home, as well as one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery.
