Robert “Bob” Louis Schuler, II, age 65, of Spring Lake, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Trinity Health Grand Rapids-Saint Mary’s Hospital. He was born on July 20, 1959, in Detroit, MI, to the late Robert and Doris (Reidel) Schuler.
Bob graduated from Bishop Baraga Catholic High School in Cheboygan. He later moved to the Tri-Cities area and worked for West Michigan Molding for many years.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and golfing. He was also an avid reader and loved all kinds of books on different topics. Bob liked to travel, was passionate about the Green Bay Packers and MSU football, loved his kids and grandkids, and loved having conversations with all the bus drivers while riding the Harbor Transit.
Bob will be forever remembered and missed by his daughters, Beth (Tai) Schuler and Ashley Schuler (Marvin Franklin); his son, Robert Schuler, III; step-daughters, Michelle (Jeremy) Olson and Becky (Amanda) Layton; seven grandchildren: Bryce (Cameryn) Schuler, and Tatum, Xander, Brookelynn, Gavin, Gracie, and Zaedyn; two great-grandchildren, Braxtyn and Wrenley; brother, John (Lucia) Schuler; two nieces; aunts, Joyce (Harold) Dean and Donna (Roger) Gardella; many cousins; longtime friend, Susan B. Schuler; and a lot of Cheboygan friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant sister; as well as many aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life Open House for Bob will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., at St. John’s Episcopal Church.
