Robert "Bob" Jerald Davidson, age 72, of Grand Haven, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at home. He was born on December 11, 1953, to Earl and Vivian (Jacob) Davidson.
Bob graduated from Fruitport High School, Class of 1972. He then received his associates degree from Baker College of Muskegon and went on to serve in the US Army from 1972 to 1977. Bob married the love of his life, Linda Lee Farran, on June 27, 1980 in Muskegon, MI.
First and foremost, Bob loved his Lord and loved sharing his faith with whomever crossed his path. Bob was a real people-person and if you didn't know him, you were his friend after meeting him.
Bob retired from Century Foundry in Muskegon, was a member of Hope Church Grand Haven, and former member of Fellowship Reformed Church in Muskegon. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a loyal and passionate fan of Detroit Lions football, University of Michigan football, and Detroit Tigers baseball.
Bob will be forever remembered and missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda; his son, Robert (Stacy) Davidson of Hudsonville; three grandchildren: Alan, Ajay, and Nevaeh; sister, Sue (Kurt) Richards; and sisters-in-law, Betty Hall, Diane Reeths, and Janet Farran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Eric Davidson; and in-laws: Gordie (Carol) Farran, Nancy (Charlie) Hawrysz, Henry Hall, Tom (Edna) Farran, Paul Reeths, and Bob Farran.
The Celebration of Life for Bob will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at Hope Church, with Pastor Tim Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Per Bob's request, please consider wearing your favorite sports team or movie attire.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to the family or to any of the following charities which were near and dear to Bob: Shields of Hope of West Michigan, Lakeshore Museum Center, or Hope Church-Grand Haven.
