Rick Clark Obituary

Rick Jon Clark, age 72 of Grand Haven, went home to enter into glory with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at home, with his wife by his side. He was born on August 15, 1949 in Muskegon, MI to Gerald and Louise (Gould) Clark. Rick married Susan ”Sue” Gilbert on November 11, 1995 in Spring Lake, MI.

Rick graduated from Muskegon Heights High School, and was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Free Church of Spring Lake. He was a generous and kind man, who was of strong faith, and sincerely cared about the welfare and wellbeing of others.

In his teenage years, Rick was well known in the Muskegon area as the drummer for the Poor Boys Pride Band. He enjoyed watching hockey, especially the Detroit Redwings, and took great pride in maintaining his yard, washing and waxing the cars, and going to Grand Haven City Beach to spend time with his Lord. His family was of utmost importance to him and he especially loved spending time with his wife.

Rick is remembered and missed by his wife of 26 years, Sue; his daughter, Kari (Chris) Kempf; three sons, Jeremy (Charity) Clark, Erik Clark, and Anthony Krehn; his seven beloved grandchildren: Mikahla, Jayden, Hannah, Logan, Chris, Rheani, and Gavyn; his sister, Sandra Langlois; several in-laws; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A special thank you to the “Input Sisters,” Nanci Scott and Patti Grillo, who were always there to help in time of need.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Karen Stewart; and brothers, Gerald and Jack Clark.

A Celebration of Life for Rick will be held at a later date to be announced.
