Richard Alan Neely

Richard "Rick" Alan Neely, age 60, of Grand Haven, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 12, 2025. He was born on May 14, 1964, in Grand Haven, MI, to Ross and Nancy (Munch) Neely.

Rick graduated from Grand Haven High School, Class of 1982, where he played on the Football team for three years. He then worked as a machinist for Grand Haven Steel Products for most of his career.

Rick was a big NASCAR fan and especially liked Dale Earnhardt. He enjoyed boating and watching sports on t.v., especially Pittsburgh Steelers football games. Rick was also a faithful listener and follower of the Grand Haven High School Football games.

Rick will be forever remembered and missed by his mother, Nancy Neely; sister, Chris Moore; brother, Harris (Cindy) Neely; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Ross Neely in 2017; and his nephew, Harris Neely.

The family would like to thank Rick's good friends, Kurt and Katie Krizan, and Steve and Tracy Serrano for their friendship and excellent care of Rick throughout the years.

A Celebration of Rick’s life will take place on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the Grand Haven VFW Sgt. Alvin Jonker Post 2326.
