Renee Roberts Obituary

Renee Dawn Roberts, age 60, of Grand Haven, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 6, 1964, in Grand Haven, Michigan, Renee was the cherished daughter of Henry and Mary Ann (Meeuwsen) Crum.

A proud graduate of Grand Haven High School, Class of 1982, Renee was a spirited cheerleader and full of life, even in her youth. Renee began her career in sales, starting with directory sales with GTE before moving on to advertising at JQ 99. She later found her passion in real estate, working for many years for @ Home Realty, where she thrived and built lasting relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

On August 16, 1996, Renee married the love of her life, Kent Roberts, in Nashville, Tennessee. Together, they built a life full of love, faith, and family. Renee was known for her warmth, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those she loved. She found joy in sunshine, waterfront views, and traveling abroad—especially to her "happy place," Anna Maria Island, Florida, where she made countless memories with her family.

Renee's greatest joy was her family, and her faith was the foundation of her life. A devoted member of Harvest Bible Chapel in Grand Haven, Renee worshipped faithfully and lived her life as a testimony to her strong Christian beliefs. She also served her community in many ways, including serving on the Grand Haven Christian School Board.

Renee will always be remembered for the deep and unconditional love she gave to her children and her husband, and for the joy and light she brought to everyone who knew her. Her legacy of love, strength, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Renee will be lovingly remembered and missed by her loving husband of 28 years, Kent; and their seven children: Chloe Roberts, Olivia Roberts, Jessica Roberts, Maddy Roberts, Benjamin (Emily) Sobolik, Sam Roberts, and Kody (McKenzi) Roberts; 10 grandchildren; three brothers: David (Mary) Crum, Ron Crum, and Steve (Donna) Crum; her mother-in-law, Sarajane Weaver; siblings-in-law: Leigh Sneller, Doug (Karen) Roberts, and Jeff Roberts; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as numerous close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, Bill Roberts; her brother, Marc Crum; and brother-in-law, Mark Roberts.

The Memorial Service for Renee will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Harvest Bible Chapel-Grand Haven, with Pastor Chris Moeller officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, also at the church. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to The Renee Roberts Cross Foundation, 13519 152nd Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417.

The Renee Roberts Cross Foundation was born out of love, loss, and a deep desire to bring hope to those walking through dark times. During Renee's courageous battle with cancer, Renee found strength not only in treatment, but in connection, knowing she wasn't alone. As a small but powerful gesture, she began creating crosses with simple tags that read "You Are Not Alone • You Are Loved" leaving them for patients or walking up and giving them to other patients at the cancer center. These crosses weren't just symbols of faith, they were messages of comfort, solidarity, and strength. They reminded patients that someone cared, someone understood, and someone was standing with them.

Even as Renee's journey came to an end, her heart for others never did. It was her wish that this mission would continue; that her family would carry on the legacy of placing crosses for others to find, just when they might need them most. The Renee Roberts Foundation is committed to honoring that wish. With each cross we send, we share Renee's spirit of compassion, her printed hand witting and to remind others-

You Are Not Alone • You Are Loved
