Philip “Scott” Regelin Obituary

Philip “Scott” Regelin, age 61, of Grand Haven, passed away suddenly on Thursday, May 2, 2024, while doing what he loved, “Mountain Biking.” He was born July 25, 1962, in Muskegon, MI, to Philip and Claudette (Daugherty) Regelin. He was a lifelong area resident and graduate of Grand Haven High School. Scott married Shelley Lane on August 30, 2013, in Grand Haven.

Scott loved spending time in the great outdoors. His passion as an outdoorsman was expressed with his participation in camping, hiking, and kayaking, but most of all, as a mountain biker. He was also known as a huge University of Michigan fan. Scott was a member of the Emmanuel Free Church in Spring Lake and was employed for over 25 years with Precision Metal Products. His greatest joy in life was his family and spending time with them.

Scott will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Shelley Lane-Regelin; his five daughters: Rebekah (Tim) Butcher, Leslie Regelin (Wil Knibloe), Sarah (Jeff) Laansma, Vanessa (Evan) Draft, and Aubrey (Jon) Genzink; four sons: Ryan Killian, Jeshua Lane, D. Jordan Batka, and Kyle (Cherise) Batka; grandchildren: Natalie, Julia, Charlotte, Iris, Dylan, Addison, Ezra, Jameson, Joscelyn, Jonas, Walker, Javyn, Gianna, and Baby G; his mother, Claudette Bethke; his father, Philip (Glenda) Regelin; two brothers, Bruce (Michelle) Farr and Chris (Gail) Bethke; two sisters, Nancy Mckeever and Georgia Colodny; and many special friends.
