Norma Jeanne Wolfe age 96, of Grand Haven, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Christian Haven Home. She was born on August 4, 1928, in Marion, IN, to the late Leo and Edna (Overholt) Haven. Norma married Richard C. Wolfe on July 2, 1949, in Michigan City, Indiana. He preceded her in death on April 21, 2002, after 52 years of marriage.
Norma grew up and graduated from high school in Indiana. She and Richard moved to the Tri-Cities area from Michigan City, Indiana, in 1980. Norma did office work for many years for Jewel Foods, Weil McClain, and Osco Foods before her retirement.
Norma regularly attended St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Grand Haven where she also sang in the choir. She was former treasurer of Tuesday Musicale, former member of the Grand Haven Women's Club, and was active in church circles. While living in Michigan City, Norma belonged to the Guild at St. Anthony's Hospital for 15 years.
Norma was an avid reader who enjoyed sewing, quilting, and playing the Piano. She also enjoyed art and loved horseback riding and taking dancing lessons in her youth.
Norma will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter, Judy Ryan of Holland, MI; her son, Michael Wolfe of Grand Haven, MI; grandchildren: Michael and Ryan Wiltfong, Bethany, Nathan, Rachel, and Joseph Wolfe, Adeline and Thomas Eickholt; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her three sisters: Joanne Schroeder, Leola Haven, and Susan Schmitt; her brother, John Haven; and brother-in-law Rev. Thomas (Mary Anne) Wolfe.
Private family services will be held. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Michigan City, Indiana, at a later date.
