Mildred "Millie" Pearson Obituary

Mildred "Millie" Pearson, age 87, of Grand Haven, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Robbinswood Assisted Living. She was born on February 15, 1938, in Grand Rapids, MI, to the late George and Grace (Manby) Bell.

Millie married Oscar Pearson on June 1, 1958, in Whitehall, MI. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2004, just days before their 46th wedding anniversary.

Millie graduated from Whitehall High School and then worked in appliance sales representative at Sear's and later, at Cook's Appliance Store in Whitehall. After retirement she worked part-time at the Down Under Shop.

Millie was very artistic and enjoyed making nautical-themed ceramics, including lamps, which she custom-painted. She was known as the "Lighthouse Lady" and would often be found at art events in West Michigan, selling her creations from her booth.

Millie will be lovingly remembered and missed by her three sons: Tim (Sherri Scott) Pearson of Ogden, Utah, Terry (Amy) Pearson of Grand Haven, and Kevin Pearson of Rochester; two grandchildren, Danielle (Brandon) Sowa and Kyle (Christina) Pearson; three great-grandchildren: Christopher, Ava, and Elise; and her sister, Margaret Thompson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Olive "Doll" Johnson; her brother, Victor Bell; sister-in-law, Sally Amrein; and brother-in-law, Rod Thompson.

A Private Family Graveside Service for Millie will be held at Oakhurst Cemetery in Whitehall.
