Michelle Ann Emerick, age 54 of Grand Haven, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at home. She was born on October 14, 1968 in Muskegon, MI to Michael and Peggy (Hill) Rossiter. Michelle married Daniel A. Emerick on March 21, 1998 in Grand Haven.
Michelle graduated from Grand Haven High School and lived in Grand Haven most of her life, working as a Pharmacy Technician at Pfaff Pharmacy in Grand Haven for 20 years before their closing.
Michelle spent her time giving back to those around her. She was a beacon of light, a friend when you needed one, a shoulder to cry on, and the backbone of a family that she created with her loving husband. Michelle dreamt of being a mother her entire life, and seven kids later, it can be confirmed that it was a role destined for her.
She loved holidays, but never needed a reason to make those around her feel special and seen. Between the parties she hosted for her children and grandchildren, and the personalized gifts and time she dedicated to everyone around her, Michelle filled any room with an abundance of warmth just by simply being.
Michelle loved a good bargain almost as much as she loved decorating her home, which she often took advantage of each hunting season. She had big plans for the cabin, and would often talk about the memories to be made this upcoming summer and fall. To know her, is to love her, and she blessed anyone she came in contact with.
Michelle will be lovingly remembered and forever missed by her husband of 25 years, Dan; her five daughters: Lindsay Pastor (Levi Wood) of Grand Haven, Chelsea (DeAngelo) Buchanan of Muskegon, Ashlee Donselar, Hayle Pastor, and Annika Emerick, all of Grand Haven; her two sons, Justin Emerick (Kayleigh Bennett) and Nicklas (Caylee) Emerick all of Grand Haven; 12 grandchildren: Peyton, Avion, Paisley, Arbor, Waylon, Daisy, Bodhi, Rowan, Milo, Azrah, Salem, and Lucia; her mother, Peggy Rossiter (Bob Kohnke) of Muskegon; and three siblings, Michael (Lindsie) Rossiter of Irons, MI, Toni Waller and Holly Grondsma, both of Montana.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Rossiter.
The Funeral Service for Michelle will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Klaassen Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Rauschert officiating. Visitations will be held at the funeral home on Monday, May 22nd, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., as well as one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
