With profound sorrow and heavy hearts, we share that Maxwell Bradley Ashcraft, of Fruitport, MI, gained his angel wings at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the age of five. He was born on May 20, 2020, in Muskegon, MI, to his loving parents, Bradley and Alexandra (Spinner) Ashcraft.
From the moment he arrived, Max filled the world with joy, laughter, and a light all his own. A bright and curious soul, he had a love for his large collection of eyeglasses (just for him) and especially enjoyed playing with his trucks. Max loved thrift-shopping with his family, riding the moped, and going golfing (but only sometimes). He adored his family deeply, including his two dogs, Addy and Bogey.
Max will be forever missed by those who survive him, including his parents, Bradley and Alexandra Ashcraft; his grandmas and grandpas: Andrea and Rob Bonney, Gary Ashcraft (and Barb), Mike and Susie Spinner, Jeri Ashcraft (and Scott), Dawn Kimball, and Salli Grabman; great-grandparents: Dave and Teri Wright, Bob Chisholm, JoAnn Chisholm, Larry Spinner, Jim and Sue Pike, and Nancy Burton; great-great-grandma, Helen Chisholm; his aunts and uncles: Abby Ashcraft (and Jon), Anna Bonney, Ryan Bonney, Emalie and Ben Hunt, Noah Loomis, Julia Robinson, Matthew Dever, Rachel Dever (and Austin); special friends, London Holcomb and the Pavwoski/Jaenicke and Cyr/Kendro families; and a vast circle of extended family, friends, and playmates.
A Memorial Celebration of Max's life will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at the Trillium Catering and Events Center (17246 VanWagoner Rd., Spring Lake, MI 49456) with Pastor Doug Bytwerk officiating. A Visitation will be held the evening prior, on Saturday, July 19, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m., also at the Trillium Catering and Events Center.
Though his time here was far too short, the memories made with Max will be treasured forever. His love, laughter, and radiant spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew him.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Noah Project (https://www.noahprojectmuskegon.org/home) or Sight the World (https://sighttheworld.org/).
