Matthew Alan Devine

Matthew Alan Devine, age 40, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 20, 2024, in Muskegon, Michigan. Born on November 5, 1983, in Lincoln Park, Michigan, he was a wild child from the day he was born. While still young, his family relocated to Grand Haven, where he grew up and made many lasting friendships throughout the years.

Matt was a skilled welder at Haworth in Holland, where he worked alongside his brother, Mitch. Outside of work, Matt cherished the moments spent with his daughter, Evelyn. His love for her was profound, and he dedicated much of his free time to making memories with her, which will be treasured forever.

Matt is survived by his beloved daughter, Evelyn Devine; Evelyn's mother, Nichole Zuidema; his parents, Michael and Tina Devine, Sr.; his brother, Michael (Jackie) Devine, Jr.; his niece, Gracie Devine; his brother, Mitchell Devine; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Anna Devine, and Judy and Paul Hurst.

A Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Klaassen Family Funeral Home.
