Maryann (De Horn) Schreiber

Maryann Schreiber, age 75 of Grand Haven, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at University of Michigan Health-West. She was born on November 28, 1947 in Muskegon, MI to the late Jacob and Blanche (Bos) De Horn. Maryann married Gary Schreiber on November 8, 1975 in Spring Lake, MI. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2011 after almost 36 years of marriage.

Maryann graduated from Spring Lake High School, Class of 1965, and then Baker College of Muskegon. She worked for John Carlyle at Varnum Law office for 40 years as a Legal Secretary, which she was proud of.

Maryann attended First Presbyterian Church and was a former member of Christ Community Church. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, gardening, and tending to her flower beds. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren.

Maryann is lovingly remembered and missed by her son, Matt (Christy) Schreiber of Grand Haven; her two grandsons, Jacob and Charlie Schreiber; sister, Blanche De Horn; brother, Jack De Horn; brother-in-law, Don (Rose) Schreiber; two nieces, Michelle De Horn and Danielle (Drew) Pretzer; and two nephews, Andy (Coco) Schreiber and Adam Schreiber.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary; and sisters-in-law, Linda Schreiber and Brenda Monday.

Private family services will take place.

Interment will be at Grand Haven Township Historic Cemetery in the spring.
