Mary Ellen Webb

Mary Ellen Webb, age 94 of Grand Haven, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Robbinswood Assisted Living. She was born on April 30, 1928 in Toledo, OH to the late Grant and Catherine (Gotha) Tuller. Mary married Elgin Webb on August 7, 1948 in Ida, MI. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2022 after 73 years of marriage.

Mary graduated from Monroe High School and worked for Ford Motor Co., and then went on to become co-owner and co-operator of the Montgomery Ward Store in Grand Haven. She then worked at D & W until 1989. She was a long-time member of St. Patrick - St. Anthony’s Catholic Parish and enjoyed painting and crafting. Mary also enjoyed floral design, and was quite talented at arranging floral pieces for many friends’ weddings.

Mary will be lovingly remembered and missed by her daughter, Cathy (Stanley) Simmer of Grand Haven; her two sons, Patrick (Donna) Webb of Ohio, and Michael (Anne-Marie) Webb of Harrison Township; six grandchildren, Kristin, Katie, Tasha, Ian, Grant, and Lilli; eight great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Henry (Carolyn) Webb; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elgin; and seven siblings.

The Funeral Mass for Mary will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at St. Patrick - St. Anthony’s Catholic Parish with Fr. Charles Schwartz officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Lake Forest Cemetery.
