Marvin D. Perry

Marvin D. Perry, age 86, of Jenison, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. He was born on February 21, 1939, in Toledo, OH to the late Charles and Pauline (Stasny) Perry. Marvin married Marie Glass in July of 1961 in Toledo, OH who preceded him in death on July 6, 2006. Marvin then married Nancy L. Johnson on February 7, 2009, in Oak Harbor, OH.

Marvin graduated from Morrison Waite High School in Toledo, OH and took some college classes at the University of Toledo before joining the U.S. Navy in 1956 and proudly serving until 1959. Marvin was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed time in his garden.

Marvin is survived by his wife Nancy Perry; children, Donna (Kevin) Bringe, and Marvin (Kristina) Perry, Jr.; grandchildren: Grant, Gabrielle, Brandon, and Danielle; and 5 Great-Grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Perry and Robert Perry.

A Memorial Service for Marvin will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Grace Bible Church, 3750 Wilson Ave SW., Grandville, MI with Pastor Todd Kinde officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
